Dumfries & Galloway Blood Bikes is a charitable organisation set up by local volunteers to deliver essential blood and urgent medical supplies, in and out of hours, between hospitals and healthcare sites in South West Scotland and sometimes beyond.
We’re always looking for new volunteers, so why not volunteer or find out more about the work we do on the About Us page.
Would you like to raise money for Dumfries & Galloway Blood Bikes just by doing your regular shopping, at no cost to you?
Easyfundraising does just that, with thousands of brands signed up, you could be raising money for DGBB every time you use Just Eat, order goods on Argos, John Lewis, Currys PC World or ASOS.
So, if you were looking to purchase £100 of goods from John Lewis, you would pay £100 and they would donate £3.00 to DGBB.
It's easy to sign up and once you have, every time you go to purchase, first go to the easy fundraising website, find the brand you are looking for, click (it will take you to their own website) and DGBB will receive a donation for every completed purchase!
We covered an incredible 28,000 miles in December with 39 Riders/Drivers being looked after by 9 Controllers. That's the equivalent to driving round Earth once 🌍
Thank you to our fantastic volunteers for ensuring these deliveries were seamless for the patients and the NHS and thank you to our supporters who ensure we can continue delivering this vital service 24/7/365.
If you would like to donate please click the link below easydonate.org/VFPT01 - if you are able to, please consider becoming a regular giver. - if you are a UK taxpayer remember to click the Gift Aid box, this gives us another 25% from HMRC on top of your original donation. ... See MoreSee Less
Thanks to the incredible efforts of Johnstonebridge Youth Club, Santa had more presents than he needed on Sunday 20th December, so on Christmas Eve the additional presents were delivered to the Children's Ward @ DGRI who handed them out to patients throughout the hospital 🎄
Thank you to Shelby for inviting us to accompany Santa and to the wonderful staff @ DGRI for your tireless work.
We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and we can't wait to see you in the new year 🎆 ... See MoreSee Less
